This is my experience with F&N lessons during term one and two. I’m going to share with you my experience . F&N is basically to learn about food , eating what is healthy and what is not . There are four main food groups , meat and alternatives , rice and alternatives , vegetables and fruits . The four main food groups are in the healthy diet pyramid which is recommended by Singapore’s Health Promotion Board , it is a useful personal guide to healthy eating . With reference to the Healthy Diet Pyramid , we should eat more of the foods at the base of the pyramid , rice and alternatives , and as little as possible of those at the tip of the pyramid , meat and alternatives . Every meal we take involves making choices , what we choose to eat makes a difference to our health , they either improve it or damage it . For term one and two , the coursework that I have done is 60% while the exam is 40% . During practical , two teachers will be teaching us the methods for cooking food .I felt that practical lessons are not hard but not easy because the whole class have to form groups of two and we need to work together if we want to get the food done .
